  Renowned internationally for his prowess in capturing the authentic essence of his subjects, photographer Patrick Demarchelier's journey began at the age of 17 when he first delved into photography.

  His trajectory led him to New York by 1975, where he commenced his tenure with Vogue, gradually assembling a portfolio adorned with countless celebrities and supermodels.

  Notably, Princess Diana herself was captivated by his work, culminating in her commission of him in 1989 to photograph herself alongside Princes William and Harry.  This assignment marked his distinction as the inaugural non-British official photographer for the Royal family.

  Demarchelier's affinity for female subjects is a facet he humorously attributes to his upbringing, characterised by a predominantly male environment.
