About this piece
Vintage Kurata Craft Glass Iridescent Vase, Japan, circa 1970s-1980s
A striking vintage art glass vase produced by Kurata Craft Glass of Japan, featuring a luminous iridescent finish that shifts beautifully between honey gold, opaline white and subtle rainbow reflections.
This sculptural piece showcases a dramatic handkerchief-style rim and a deeply moulded organic body, creating a silhouette that feels both elegant and modern. The highly reflective surface catches light from every angle, making it a standout decorative object even when displayed without flowers.
Often associated with the golden age of Japanese studio and export glass, Kurata pieces are increasingly appreciated by collectors of Mid-Century Modern and Murano-inspired art glass.
