A beautiful and highly collectible Carlton Ware Art Deco demitasse coffee set comprising six cups and matching saucers, presented in the original satin-lined presentation box.
This charming English set features the classic Harlequin colourway, with each cup and saucer in a different pastel tone including green, pink, cream, pale green, blue and burgundy. Each piece is decorated with contrasting coloured enamel polka dots, creating a lively and playful design typical of 1930s Art Deco tableware.
The cups feature gild interiors and gold handles, adding an elegant touch and making the set particularly striking when displayed or used for serving expresso or after-dinner coffee.
All pieces carry the Carlton Ware 'Made in England- Trade Mark" backstamp, dating the set to approximately the 1930s-1940s. The set remains housed in its original fitted presentation box, which is increasingly difficult to find and adds to its appeal for collectors.
