This is a decorative, very stylish and most practical English Vintage (earlier 20th century) copy of a much earlier style of Georgian Desk from the early 1700s. It is very well made from solid English Oak and finished in well figured Walnut. The desk is rectangular with an overhanging top which has a fruit wood line inlays, a cross banded border and a curved edge molding. There is a a full width knee hole drawer and two stacked drawers on either side which form the semi pedestals. The Desk is then supported on four corner positioned well shaped cabriole legs. An interesting quality feature is the ‘oyster’ veneered drawer fronts and all drawers have all Brass drawer pulls.
The desk is in reasonable condition with a few minor deficiencies which we will have professionally conserved and the desk refurbished all included within the price. Or you may have a recessed and gold tooled leather inset writing surface with the leather colour of your choice at an additional cost to us price.
