The Worcester Hop Mathon pattern was designed by John Mathon, who was a Royal Worcester artist from 1950 to 1970. It was inspired by the hop vines that were grown in the English Midlands, where Royal Worcester is located. The hop vine is a symbol of fertility and abundance, and the pattern is often used to celebrate special occasions such as weddings and births. This set is suitable for any special occasion gift.
