About this piece
Original acrylic on linen canvas.
Created in acrylic on canvas, this contemporary artwork blends the timeless elegance of the Art Deco era with a touch of surrealism. Set against a warm yellow ochre background, the monotone aircraft silhouette reflect the artist’s passion for architecture, automotive and aeroplane design, celebrating the graceful lines, geometric forms and streamlined aesthetics of a bygone era.
Inspired by the freedom of gliding, the piece evokes the peaceful sensation of soaring effortlessly above landscapes, where the world unfolds beneath you and the horizon stretches endlessly ahead. It captures a profound sense of freedom, tranquillity and connection with the world, balancing nostalgia with contemporary sophistication. With its understated palette and distinctive design, this artwork offers a timeless statement, suited to a variety of interiors.
