A superb late 19th century English display cabinet by the renowned London cabinet makers Edwards & Roberts, crafted in beautifully figured mahogany and dating to circa 1890. Elegantly proportioned, the cabinet features a graceful serpentine front, two glazed display doors with refined astragal glazing bars, and two serpentine-fronted drawers below, all enhanced with exquisite floral marquetry inlays of the highest quality.
The cabinet is surmounted by an elegant broken swan-neck pediment with further inlaid decoration, while the slender tapering legs and shaped undertier lend a light and sophisticated appearance. The glazed upper section provides an ideal setting for displaying fine porcelain, silver or collectables, complemented by practical storage in the two drawers below.
