About this piece
The Node was designed by the Steelcase Design Studio with IDEO and launched in 2010 for classrooms that change layout through the day. The seat swivels so you can turn to face a screen, a whiteboard or the person next to you without moving the chair.
The one-piece shell flexes as you move and needs no upholstery, so it wipes clean. The arms double as hooks for a bag.
This is the stool-height Node, made in 2013: yellow shell on a silver five-star base with a foot ring and castors.
