About this piece
The Gesture was launched by Steelcase in 2013, after its Global Posture Study watched 2,000 people in 11 countries at work. The study found 9 new postures driven by phones and tablets that existing chairs did not support.
Gesture was built around them. The back and seat move together as one system, and the Core Equalizer keeps lumbar support in place as you recline.
This is the drafting-height Gesture, with a taller gas lift and a foot ring for standing-height desks and benches. Black fabric, no arms, shell back, on a black five-star base with castors.
Condition
Pre-owned. Each varies slightly overall good used condition. See photos.
Ideal for
Standing-height desks, studio and lab benches, reception counters and high collaborative tables.
