About this piece
A striking table in solid timber (possibly oak), with turned black-painted legs and a deep, dark-stained top. Its distinctive decorative banding, in contrasting black and warm reddish tones, creates the effect of an inlaid border and gives the piece an unusually refined finish.
Substantial in scale and beautifully grounded, the table measures approximately 219 cm W × 131 cm D × 72 cm H. It is in very good condition for its age, with only minor signs of use.
Acquired through the Vickers & Hoad’s auction that was held in Berrima for the Estate of the Late Janelle Weekes.
