A striking vintage Candlewax vase designed by František Pečený for Sklo Union, one of the most iconic examples of Czechoslovak pressed glass design.
Produced during the Mid-Century Modern period, this sculptural vase features the distinctive textured "Candlewax" pattern, composed of raised droplets and vertical ribs that create beautiful reflections and depth when illuminated.
The heavy clear pressed glass construction gives the piece a strong architectural presence while maintaining the functional simplicity for which Czech modernist glass became renowned.
Equally attractive displayed empty as a sculptural object or used as a vase for fresh or dried flowers.
