About this piece
A beautiful hand blown art glass bowl created by Australian studio glass artist Setsuko Ogishi and signed and dated 1990.
This elegant vessel features a softly organic hand-formed shape with a flowing cobalt blue rim surrounding a richly textured body filled with layers of lavender, turquoise, pink and iridescent inclusions. The effect resembles floating petals, ocean currents and delicate brushstrokes suspended within the glass.
The bowl displays exceptional craftsmanship and light transmission, revealing new details and colours from every angle. A superb example of Australian studio glass from the late twentieth century.
