A striking piece from iconic mid-century designer Russell Woodard best known for pioneering the use of spun fibreglass in furniture design in the 1950s. This hourglass "cone" silhouette is one of his most recognisable forms, with a woven basket-style seat and back tapering down to a narrow waist before flaring out into a solid pedestal base.
Finished in a warm cream tone, this chair has real sculptural presence. Equally at home as a statement accent chair, a plant stand piece, or styled into a boho or Palm Springs-inspired interior.
Great original condition for its age, with light surface wear consistent with vintage spun fibreglass furniture.
