About this piece
A striking Pablo vase designed by Erkkitapio Siiroinen for Riihimäen Lasi, Finland, one of the most distinctive and sculptural examples of Finnish art glass from the 1970s.
Executed in a vibrant ruby red cased glass, the design features a cylindrical body intersected by bold circular forms that create a dramatic architectural silhouette. The composition is instantly recognisable and perfectly captures the experimental spirit of Scandinavian design during the era.
The intense red colour glows beautifully when illuminated and contrasts elegantly with the heavy clear glass base. Whether displayed as a vase or purely as a sculptural object, the Pablo commands attention from every angle.
This example retains its original Riihimäen Lasi – Made in Finland factory label.
A highly collectible piece of Finnish modernist design and an outstanding addition to any collection of Scandinavian art glass.
