This pair of clear glass decanters were made by René Lalique and are known as the 'Logelbach' pattern. The design which is recorded as being number 5025 was first introduced in 1925 during the height of the Art Deco period. Because the pair are signed 'R. Lalique' we can ascertain that they were manufactured during René's lifetime, prior to his death in 1945. The clear glass decanters feature tall glass stoppers which are frosted and feature an ornate leaf pattern in the typical Lalique style. Rather amazingly, the stopper for each is matched with each decanter after decades of use together which is evidenced by the same small engraved number featuring on each. The decanters both present in good antique condition with minor staining to the inside base of each along with standard abrasions to the underside from being placed on a surface, but have no chips or cracks throughout the pair. A really gorgeous example of original Lalique made during René Lalique's lifetime, and just as useable today as they were nearly 100 years ago.
