A pair of late 19th-century vases with handpainted florals in a Chinese style possibly by Samson & Cie of Paris. Converted to table lamps and recently rewired to Australian standards.
The Samson factory of ceramics was established by Edmé Samson in Paris in 1845. It produced high-quality copies of every kind of porcelain, including Meissen, Chantilly, Chelsea, Derby, and Chinese works.
