About this piece
Pair of Large 19th Century French Bisque Porcelain Figures - 36cm Tall
Bisque porcelain (also called biscuit porcelain) is unglazed porcelain that has undergone an initial firing in a kiln. This first firing transforms soft, fragile, raw clay into a durable ceramic body while leaving it porous enough to absorb glazes, paints, or pigments.
