About this piece
An impressive pair of monumental antique French cast iron pricket candlesticks, richly cast with fluted candle cups, decorative baluster columns and ornate scrolling bases raised on paw feet. Retaining their beautifully weathered original painted finish and natural patina, they make a striking architectural statement both indoors and out. Originally designed to hold large pillar or church candles, these exceptional pieces are ideal flanking an entrance, lining a garden path or creating a dramatic focal point within a grand interior. Wear, weathering, rust and losses to the original painted finish consistent with age and use. Sold as a pair.
