About this piece
A beautiful mid-century nest of teak side tables by Alpa Furniture, crafted in Australia in the 1960s. These classic tables showcase the timeless appeal of Australian mid-century design — rich teak timber, rectangular tops with softly tapered edges, and slender “cigar” legs that give the set a light, elegant silhouette.
The three tables nest comfortably together, making them both highly functional and aesthetically harmonious. The largest table measures approximately 620 mm W × 420 mm D × 500 mm H, with two smaller tables that slide neatly beneath — perfect for flexible living spaces or layered surfaces that can be used together or separately.
About Alpa Furniture
While detailed corporate histories of many Australian mid-century makers like Alpa can be scarce, Alpa is recognised among vintage furniture dealers and collectors as an Australian manufacturer active during the mid-20th century, producing quality timber furniture with refined proportions typical of the era. Pieces attributed to Alpa — including coffee tables, side tables and cabinets — are known for their clean lines, teak craftsmanship and tapered timber legs, and are often stamped with maker’s marks on the underside.
Alpa’s teak furniture sits alongside other celebrated Australian mid-century makers.
