About this piece
A beautiful vintage Maria Theresa style crystal chandelier with a matching pair of crystal wall sconces, ready to elevate a formal room, entry hall, dining space or period interior. The set features graceful curved arms and abundant faceted crystal drops that catch and reflect light, creating a classic, luxurious look.
The chandelier has six arms with original glass cups and a central finial. One of the glass cups on the chandelier is a slightly different shape, indicating it was likely replaced at some point — this does not detract from its overall aesthetic and function, but is noted for accuracy.
The matching wall sconces each have two arms with crystal dish cups and hanging pendants, echoing the chandelier’s style and making this a coordinated set ideal for cohesive lighting throughout a space.
Through close inspection of the detailing — the shaped crystal pendants, floral cut motifs and elegant arm profiles — this set is reminiscent of Lobmeyr Maria Theresa–style design, though specific maker marks may not be present. Maria Theresa style fixtures are inspired by the grand historic European crystal chandeliers of the 18th century and are prized in both traditional and eclectic interiors.
