A spectacular and unusually large Mid Century Modern art glass centerpiece by the renowned Czech designer Josef Hospodka for Chřibská Glassworks, Czechoslovakia, circa 1960s.
Measuring an impressive 51 cm in length and weighing approximately 3.3 kg, this sculptural bowl showcases Hospodka's iconic organic form, combining clear crystal glass with striking pink and cobalt blue sommerso colouring.
Examples of this size are encountered far less frequently than the smaller bowls typically offered on the market, making this an especially desirable collector's piece.
Whether used as a fruit bowl, table centerpiece or displayed as a standalone work of art, this dramatic piece makes an exceptional statement in any interior.
The bowl remains in very good vintage condition. A few small bubbles are present within the glass, which are original manufacturing characteristics commonly found in handmade Czech art glass of this period.
