Japanese studio ceramic vessel dating to the late 20th century, featuring a sculptural hand-built form with richly textured surface decoration throughout.
Layers of turquoise, teal and white glaze flow across a dark stoneware body, creating an almost topographic pattern that shifts with the light. The irregular rim, faceted silhouette and applied makers seal speak to the pieces handcrafted origin and individual character.
