A striking vintage art glass vase designed by Jan Gabrhel, showcasing the bold architectural aesthetic that made Czech pressed glass famous during the Mid-Century Modern era.
Crafted in heavy clear glass, the vase features deeply textured surfaces that resemble carved stone, bark, or weathered concrete, creating dramatic reflections and a powerful sculptural presence.
The design is distinguished by a large frosted circular medallion incorporating geometric cut decoration, adding contrast and visual depth to the textured body. The combination of rough and smooth surfaces perfectly captures the Brutalist influence that characterised much of Czechoslovak glass design during the 1960s and 1970s.
