Italian Louis XVI style console table in carved, painted and gilded wood with a marble top. The top is noted as Carrara white and also described as Siena marble with verde marble details.
The rectangular frieze is carved and gilded with fluted decoration along the front and sides. A central gilded rosette on the front is framed by acanthus leaf carving, with the rosette motif repeated at the front and side corners.
The freestanding base is raised on circular tapered legs with gilded acanthus carving and a gilded beaded band to the upper section. Below, the shafts are carved, gilded, fluted and tapered, terminating in further acanthus detail and toupie-shaped feet.
