Each shoulder of the ring is channel set with twelve tapered baguette diamonds of H/I colour and SI clarity. The ruby is surrounded by 22 tapered baguette cut diamonds again of H/I colour and SI clarity which together with the shoulders total 2.36 carat. When on the finger the shape is reminiscent of an 'ogee', a shape which is ancient in origin and features throughout history in art and architecture. This substantial ring has wonderful presence and is a sizeable piece both in stone weight but also its actual size.
