About this piece
By renowned Greek designer and goldsmith Ilias Lalaounis in his signature style reflecting ancient motifs and style. Each hand worked candlestick is in the form of an ancient oil lamp featuring a planished silver top that subtly reflects light. The silver is wrapped over a warm gold/brass body with scrolling handle, providing both functional balance and visual contrast to the cool silver. Presented in its original Lalaounis presentation box.
This thoughtful combination of precious and non-precious metals is characteristic of Lalaounis’ modernist domestic designs of the late 1970s, drawing on ancient Greek forms while remaining firmly contemporary. A refined statement piece suitable for a dining table, console, or curated interior vignette.
