Caroline C. Burnett (1877–1950), the British-American artist, is known for her evocative Impressionist depictions of Paris. In 'View of Montmartre, Paris’, she captures the charm and atmosphere of one of the city's most storied districts. Her impasto brushwork and abstracted figures reflect the Modern movement during her years in Paris, where she was an active member of the Société de Beaux-Arts.
