About this piece
French cast metal figure lamp bearing the name G. Moreau to the base, modelled as a classically styled Cupid in flowing movement and finished in a deep, dark patina. The figure supports a large domed Tiffany-style leaded stained glass shade, composed with opalescent whites, mottled blues and greens, and warm amber cabochon details. When illuminated, the glass produces a soft, layered glow typical of traditional Tiffany revival lighting.
The cast figure is a decorative work after a model by G. Moreau, mounted on a substantial weighted plinth. The stained glass shade is later, together forming a composite lamp characteristic of mid-20th century revival interiors.
Condition: Minor age-related wear and small losses to the shade consistent with scale and use; see photos.
Dimensions: 48 cm Dia x 100 cm H
