About this piece
Myrtle, a fine-grained Tasmanian timber, gives this Fler dresser a warmth and shimmer that sets it apart from the usual teak commonly used in the mid century period.
Fler was founded in Richmond, Melbourne in 1946 by Fred Lowen and Ernest Rodeck, its name taken from their initials. It grew into one of Australia's largest furniture makers. Taller and with more storage than most, with three deep wide drawers, it fits a bedroom wall or a hallway and makes a stunning design statement.
