Large ceramic platter modelled in the form of a fish, the surface finely detailed with scales, fins and facial features, highlighted throughout with gold-gilt enamel. Underside bearing pattern number A 25 640. Executed with strong sculptural presence and a high level of modelling characteristic of Italian decorative ceramics produced at Este during the mid-20th century.
