About this piece

This wonderful compact sideboard was crafted during the Regency period c.1840.

Made of luxurious rosewood (which only the best pieces were made from), the design features elegant lines, quality turning, and incredible ormolu mounts. The sideboard has a single glazed door, which opens to reveal a fully velvet lined interior with two shelves.

The upper section has a mirrored back complete with turned supports to the sides. Further ormolu fretwork and mounts complete the design, with space available to display a clock or vase. This section has been “stepped out” to make allowance for wall mouldings and trim.

An extremely handsome piece that pairs well with our French Mahogany Empire style games table.

Use this piece to store books, display treasured items, or as a beautiful focal point in a living area.
