About this piece
A striking vintage Italian art glass vase attributed to Stelvia Glass of Empoli, showcasing an elegant combination of sculptural form and rich cobalt blue colour.
Produced during the golden age of Italian decorative glass, this impressive pedestal vase features a heavily textured ripple pattern encased within thick clear glass. The dramatic blue wave design creates remarkable optical effects from every angle, drawing light through the glass and producing constantly changing reflections.
The rounded bowl is supported by a deep cobalt pedestal stem and wide foot, giving the piece a strong architectural presence while maintaining elegant proportions.
Whether displayed as a vase, centrepiece or sculptural glass object, this piece captures the bold creativity of Mid-Century Italian design.
