About this piece
The Elm Wood Workers Scholar Bench Seat in Black is a beautiful nod to traditional craftsmanship and timeless design. Made from solid elm, this piece has a strong sense of history, enhanced by its aged black finish and naturally worn textures. Its form is simple and purposeful, evoking the quiet elegance of antique workbenches.
At 180 centimetres in length, this bench is both functional and versatile. It can be styled in an entryway, placed at the end of a bed, or used as additional seating in a dining or living space. The slightly curved seat and sturdy angled legs create a balanced silhouette that brings rustic charm and a sense of story to any room.
What makes this bench so special is the authenticity it carries. The black finish is gently distressed, allowing the grain of the timber to peek through in places, celebrating the imperfections that come with age and use. Whether placed in a contemporary or heritage home, this bench adds depth, texture and a quiet strength that endures.
