An iconic Danish mid-century modular wall system designed by Preben Sørensen in the 1950s. The PS System is celebrated for its innovative floating design, exceptional versatility and timeless Scandinavian craftsmanship.
Beautifully crafted in warm teak, the system features individual cabinets, shelving and a bureau desk suspended from wall-mounted timber uprights using discreet metal pins and hangers.
This clever modular design allows each component to be repositioned at different heights, creating a personalised configuration that can evolve with your needs. With no legs occupying the floor, the system creates a light, spacious appearance while making cleaning underneath effortless – even for your robot vacuum!
The modular configuration includes:
- Large sliding-door cabinet: A deep, spacious cabinet that comfortably accommodates vinyl records, complete with an adjustable internal shelf.
- Glass display cabinet: Featuring a glass front and internal shelf, ideal for displaying ceramics, glassware and treasured collections.
- Smaller sliding-door cabinet: A compact double sliding-door cabinet providing additional concealed storage.
- Bureau / Desk: A practical workspace with an integrated drawer, perfect for a home office, study or writing area.
- Three open shelves: Providing versatile display space for books, artwork and decorative objects.
- Three wall-mounted uprights: Two measuring 200 cm and one measuring 126 cm, supporting the modular arrangement.
Highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts worldwide, the PS System is a wonderful example of Danish modernism, combining architectural elegance with practical everyday functionality.
A timeless investment in quality craftsmanship, equally suited to a living room, home office or creative space.
🌳 ♻️ Sustainability Choosing this original Danish wall system could avoid an estimated 300–600 kg CO₂e in new furniture manufacturing emissions, while preserving a beautiful piece of twentieth-century design history.
