About this piece
The Low Pad was designed by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini in 1999. Morrison admired Poul Kjærholm’s PK22 for how little material it used, and set out to make a chair with the same lightness and more comfort.
The result is a thin curved plywood shell with shaped foam pads, the leather stitched tight over the top, on a slim satin stainless steel base. It looks spare and sits soft.
These are in taupe leather with the padded headrest panel.
Condition
Pre-owned. Two available, and each varies slightly. There are a few small marks in the leather on the back and headrest, shown in photos 11 to 13. Leather is a natural material, so variations in grain and colour and a gentle patina from use are part of its character, not defects.
