About this piece
Description: An antique Victorian oval centre table with a richly figured burr walnut top, featuring intricate swirling grain patterns in warm golden-brown tones. A polished surface is framed by a contrasting ebonised border, finely detailed with delicate gilt-coloured stringing and decorative floral motifs.
The substantial oval top is finished with a moulded ebonised edge, complementing the dark pedestal base. Decorative floral motifs continue beneath the tabletop, providing a coordinated finish to the overall design.
The central pedestal features turned supports surrounding a decorative urn-shaped centre, resting on four gracefully curved cabriole-style legs with shaped feet. The contrast between the richly figured walnut top and the black base gives the table a distinctive Victorian appearance.
With its generous oval proportions, decorative inlay and beautifully patterned timber, this table would make an impressive centrepiece in a formal sitting room, entrance hall or traditional living space.
