About this piece
A beautiful 19th century Victorian centre table with a shaped figured timber top, turned and fluted legs and curved stretcher base. Raised on original style porcelain and brass castors. The figured veneered top has particularly lovely movement through the grain, with a moulded edge and contrasting figured frieze below. A genuine old piece showing plenty of character from its long life. There is considerable wear to the top including scratches, marks, veneer losses, lifting and old repairs, along with general wear throughout. The frame has some movement consistent with age and should be treated with care. Condition has been reflected in the price.
