This is a very good quality set of 8 genuine antique mid 19th century English Victorian period dining chairs including 2 larger end carver chairs with arms and 6 slightly smaller side chairs. All have high quality 'show timber' frames beautifully crafted from selected imported prestigious Central American Mahogany. The Chairs show a very strong French Louis XV influence having a typical french shaped back, curved side rails and a serpentine shaped front rail which flows into the shaped and tapered cabriole front legs. The rear sabre legs flow from the shaped back uprights.
The chairs are nicely upholstered with a padded back panel for extended comfort and the seats desirably have sprung seats and rolled edges.
Condition: Excellent commensurate with age and use.
