Quality does not come any better than these chairs.and these are six of the finest chairs I have had the pleasure of offering for sale. They are a very superior quality set of six genuine antique English George IV circa 1820 ‘show timber’ framed dining chairs crafted from solid exotic imported and prestigious Central American Rosewood. The top rails are curved tapered and elegantly rolled at the top. The fine extremely elegant curved waist rail has apposed carved Tulips at either end. The seat rails are flat and straight however the front rail has a half Barrel full width turned molding. The front legs are elegantly turned and tapered with upper inverted short carved Tulips and the rear legs are of sabre form.
Condition: The frames are in excellent condition for age, have the original hand French polished finish and are now a lovely mellowed deep honey colour. and the seats lift off for easy re covering to taste.

Price: Our vendor paid $1,500 each ( $9,000 the set ) 40 years ago in the 1980s. Now offered for sale at $5,995 the set.
