About this piece

This antique Chinese chest of drawers was sourced from Shanxi and is around 120 years old. Crafted from elm, it has six drawers in two rows of three, each with a small round pull, and was once used to store clothing and linen.

The old paint has worn back to a soft, pale grey white, with the elm grain and years of use showing through. It makes a beautiful bedroom dresser or a long, low sideboard with loads of practical storage.
