About this piece
Made from a single thick slab of fir wood resting on splayed trestle legs, this antique Chinese table was sourced from Shanxi and is around 150 years old. The natural edge and uneven grain of the top have been left just as they are.
At almost two metres long it has a raw, sculptural feel that suits a relaxed living room or large open plan space. Splits, knots and tool marks are all part of its history. Style it as a statement coffee table, or use it as a low platform for plants, books and pots.
