Description: A lovely antique Australian cedar bookcase with the rich, warm colour and beautiful natural grain associated with old Australian cedar. The tall proportions and simple traditional design make this an impressive piece without being overly ornate.
The two full-length glazed doors have attractive arched tops and open to reveal a generous interior with fixed timber shelving. With plenty of height between the shelves, there is room for a good collection of books as well as china, glassware or other pieces you may want to display. A moulded cornice finishes the top, while the simple plinth base keeps the overall look understated.
As you would expect with a piece that has had a long and useful life, the original lock was replaced with a later one.
The fixed shelf clearances from top to bottom are approximately 36 cm, 23 cm, 24 cm, 25 cm, 20 cm and 37 cm.
