About this piece
We rarely have such a hefty gold band in our collection that also has age associated with it. This court shaped/comfort shaped band would have been a wedder when it was first manufactured and appears to be in unaltered condition. The inside of the band is fully hallmarked for manufacture in London from 22 karat gold in 1921, however the maker's mark we have not been able attribute to a particular jeweller. The band presents in very fine antique condition with the usual scuffs and abrasions to the surface commensurate with age and use. The wedder is a rather small size however could be sized up within reason by a skilled jeweller who has experience working with antique pieces. A truly delightful wedding band which could be purposed by a modern day bride, or a comfortable pinky ring for a gent who appreciates beautiful things.
