About this piece
19th-Century French Walnut Wine Tasting Table
Sourced directly from Anduze in Southern France, this authentic 19th-century Table de Vendange (wine tasting table) embodies the rustic elegance of French provincial design.
The generous 118 cm diameter circular top is expertly crafted from solid walnut, showcasing a striking six-plank construction with high-contrast dark grain lines and a rich, honey-toned antique patina.
Engineered for seasonal vineyard use, the heavy top stands at 72 cm high and features a fully functional wood pivot mechanism that allows it to tilt completely upright, folding flat against a wall for space-saving storage.
Supported by a robust trestle base with classic sledge feet, this versatile piece brings exceptional texture and history to any space-whether used as an intimate dining table, a unique entryway center piece, or a traditional cellar feature. It remains in excellent antique condition with beautiful historic character.
