About this piece

A good Oak Long case clock with a quality 30hr movement. The brass dial inscribed "Standring Bolton" 18th century English Horologist, Jeremiah Standring, 1741-1770 specialised in constructing good rural 30hr movement clocks. This one with an excellent unaltered movement.

The highly attractive Oak case with a later re-constructed square plinth to the base This clock is being sold as it is, movement likely needs a clean to ensure it runs continuously. The movement is completely unaltered & has no damage. The clock is running now in the warehouse, it is not sold with any assurances that the movement will run without adjustments in your home.

This is an antique clock over 250 years old & as such may need to be serviced by a professional.
