English George III oval drop-side Pembroke table from the later 1700s, crafted in figured imported Central American mahogany, now a honey colour. The oval top has a crossbanded outer border, and the frieze follows the profile of the top with fine line inlays.
Configured with a full-width drawer to one end and a corresponding faux drawer to the other, both retaining the original circular brass ring-pull handles. Squared, tapering legs terminate in the original all-brass barrel castor assemblies. The drop leaves allow use as a side or occasional table with the leaves raised or lowered.
Condition: Excellent, professionally and sympathetically refurbished.
