A vintage porcelain cachepot in the French Empire style, decorated in white, coral red and gilt. The tapered body features Neoclassical decoration including a lyre medallion, shield motifs and delicate foliate detailing, framed by broad gilt bands. Applied gilt ring handles sit to either side, with the piece raised on a circular foot. Wear consistent with age and use, including rubbing and losses to the gilt decoration, surface marks and a chip to the upper rim as pictured. The original lid is missing and this has been reflected in the price.
