This Pantop table lamp was designed by Verner Panton in 1980 and produced by Verpan in Denmark, offered here brand new in a brushed copper finish, still in its original packaging.
Panton was one of the defining figures of Danish design in the twentieth century, known for pushing colour, plastic and unconventional form at a time when most lighting stayed close to natural materials. The Pantop carries that instinct into a small, considered object. A bell-shaped shade flares outward from a slim stem, directing light downward while a white lacquered interior softens and spreads the glow. The weighted hemisphere base grounds the piece and carries Panton's signature detail, giving the lamp a settled, sculptural presence rather than a purely functional one.
This example is brand new and has never been used. It has been unboxed once, for the photographs shown here, and is otherwise sealed in its original Verpan packaging.
Dimensions: 38cm high, 23cm diameter. Lacquered spun metal shade on a weighted metal base, finished in brushed copper with a white lacquered interior for even light diffusion.
