The AEO Chair was designed in 1971 by Paolo Deganello for Archizoom Associati and produced by Cassina. A defining icon of the Italian Radical Design movement, the AEO reduces the armchair to its essential gesture: a tensioned canvas sling stretched over an exposed tubular structure, finished with a bold cylindrical headrest.
Both sculptural and confrontational, it challenges conventional comfort and domestic aesthetics — a collectible statement piece where furniture becomes manifesto.
Condition:
Item shows signs of age and use consistent with its vintage character. Please review photos carefully. There is a small area of damage to the canvas, which can be repaired and professionally dry-cleaned. The canvas is fully removable for restoration if desired.
