A standout example of Norwegian design, craftsmanship and comfort, the Siesta Armchair is a Locus Collective favourite for its minimal construction that makes the leather cushion appear to float on the frame. The bent-ply timber frame has a rosewood veneer, joined with text screws and held by a canvas slinga hallmark of Scandinavian design. The leather and frame show signs of age and use: the leather is cracked in places along the armrests and the sides of the seat cushion, and the veneer bears wear. The leather has been treated with conditioner and the veneer cleaned. The canvas sling remains intact with no rips.
There are no maker’s marks or labels found on the chair. Sourced in Sydney.
